ANIL NEERUKONDA EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY(ANES) has been founded by Dr. N. B. R. Prasad, an NRI Philanthropist from USA and Sri V.Tapovardhan an industrialist in memory of Late Anil Neerukonda son of the Chairman Dr.N.B.R Prasad. Dr.Prasad working with missionary zeal, unrelenting commitment and strong financial backing, along with his friends, planned and completed the construction of a $6 million Venkteshwara Temple in greater Chicago area, and this temple of higher learning.
ANES was registered at Visakhapatnam on 7th of August,2000 with the following Aims & Objectives:
- To organize, establish and manage both Technical and Non-Technical Colleges and Charitable Institutions without any motive of profit.
- To train pupils to be good and responsible citizens by nurturing their potentiality to play a useful and effective role in the society.
- To promote international understanding in the educational & cultural spheres for developmental co-operation among Peoples and Nations
Dr.Prasad as Chairman and a number of eminent persons with social commitment as its members,ANES has sponsored ANIL NEERUKONDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES(ANITS) in Bheemunipatnam Municipality,with the avowed objective of developing it as a "Center for Excellence"

ANIL NEERUKONDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES (ANITS), was established in the Academic Year 2001-02 with the approval of the ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION (AICTE), New Delhi and the Government of Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to ANDHRA UNIVERSITY(AU), Visakhapatnam.
ANITS is Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in the year 2008.
ANITS is given Permanent Affiliation in the year 2010 by Andhra University.

"ANITS" is located in a plot of 14 acres area in Sangivalasa Village of Bheemunipatnam Mandalam and is approximately 300 meters from the Chennai Kolkatta Highway.The institute is 27 Kms. from Visakhapatnam and is within 30 minutes drive.City Service Buses ply from Vizag every 15 minutes. The campus is at a distance of 3Kms. and 1Km., respectively from Bheemunipatnam and Tagarapuvalasa. RTC Bus No.222 runs from RTC Complex to Tagarapuvalasa.
